Designing Modern Library Portals: NIE Libris Redesign

NIE's Library and Information Services Centre is Singapore's largest education-related library, catering to education professionals and researchers in the country. Red Airship was hired to redesign the Libris Library Portal, focusing on modernisation and improved user experience.

We conducted interviews with students, faculty members, and staff to build a comprehensive understanding of the portal’s usage. Based on their feedback, we designed the new portal and conducted usability tests to validate the design. In addition, the redesigned portal features a backend engine that enables effortless content management for administrators.
